The LA County Fair has been a California tradition since 1921 and its on now – so make a plan to get down there before it closes on September 24th. There are the time-honored activities like the petting zoo and livestock contests, but the festival incorporates plenty of contemporary activities to keep fairgoers happy – think wine tasting, craft beers, gourmet foods, and music. There’s a Ferris wheel and other exciting rides to keep the kids busy. The list of free things to do is extensive and includes stepping into the castle at the Magical World of Dragons, watching the Chinese acrobats in the Expo Hall, marching bands, wonderland – a floral fantasy, Esmeralda’s traveling circus, a miniature railroad that covers 10,000 feet and loads more. It’s best to get there ASAP and experience all the fun of the fall fair.
