12 Best Places for Holiday Lights Viewing in Denver

It’s holiday lights season – time to relive the magic of your own childhood with your kids. Each year displays get bigger and better but what really counts is the time spent together as a family enjoying the wonderland created at this time of year.

Santa’s Lighted Forest

Take a drive out of Denver to Georgetown to ride the train that provides a beautiful light show set to synchronized holiday music. As you travel through the forest above Georgetown you’ll be caught up in the brightly lit fantasy world in the snowy Colorado Rocky Mountains. The kids will have a chance to meet with Santa and his merry assistants on this one-hour round trip. There are three choices of coaches – they are all heated for comfort – coach, parlor car or Presidential car. The coaches are open the rest of the year then covered and heated in winter – they have bench seating whereas the parlor cars are fully enclosed and carpeted, with tables and padded chairs. Guests receive small snacks and a non-alcoholic beverage in the parlor cars. The Presidential car is the ultimate in luxury with a dedicated attendant and also offers complimentary festive snacks and beverages. (Alcoholic beverages in parlor and presidential are available for purchase.)
