In San Antonio, we may have to rely on fake snow, but that doesn’t mean the festive fun is diminished – in fact the cooler weather is great for being out and about at night to view all the holiday light displays. There are a large number of free ones and some paid displays with lots of entertainment thrown in for a great time with the kids.
Driving around neighborhoods spotting the lights is great but if you want another option that allows gets to get out of the car and admire the lights safely then Santa’s Ranch may be the answer. There are many displays to view – like the gingerbread house, Santa and his reindeer, Santa in a boat, jolly snowmen and even a dinosaur besides the 50-foot Christmas tree. You can stop off and buy hot cocoa, kettle corn, and other snacks there too. People usually spend around half an hour or so here – try to aim for a weekday night when it isn’t too crowded.
