All kids are welcome from PreK to 12th grade. Grades PreK, through to Grade 3 will be provided with grade-appropriate activities and adventures to encourage their appreciation of animals. If a full day is too much the PreK camps offer a half-day (9 a.m. to noon) option for the week-long camps. For grades 4 upwards there are a number of camps that focus on interests from wildlife photography – (perfect in a zoo where you don’t have to risk getting eaten by your subject as you might in the wild), Aquarium visits to get up close and personal with the creatures of the deep, Zooarchaeology that involves the study of animal remains at archaeological sites, Keeper Camp where the zoo keepers give kids a hands-on experience and teach them more about animal husbandry, Zoo Design with hands on experience in setting out exhibits, Engineering Camp involving tech and design skills, Career Camp to learn about veterinary studies and other related fields and there is even a Wetlands experience where kids go on an excursion and learn about the wildlife and ecosystem of wetlands.
