15 Restaurants to visit in NYC during Restaurant Week, Summer 2016

The restaurant “week” runs from July 25th to August 19th and with a three course prixe fixe lunch costing $29 and dinner $42 it provides an opportunity to try places you wouldn’t normally visit.

Be careful with reservations, ensuring that the day and time fall within the specials offered – there is nothing worse than setting your heart on dining somewhere, making a booking then getting told that dinner or lunch on that particular day does not fall within the specials so your reservation has been canceled. Gratuities, beverages, and tax are not included, Saturdays are excluded and only some restaurants offer the special on Sundays.

We rounded up a selection of restaurants from the hundreds available that offer various international cuisines – indulge in American (traditional and new), Laotian, Japanese, Indian, Pacific Rim, Mediterranean, French, Mexican, North African – the choices are almost endless. Dig in!

There is a fair choice. Perhaps summer salad, followed by French Quail and topped off with the famous Gotham Chocolate Cake served warm with salted almond ice cream?
