There’s really not much greater of an experience than watching the breath-taking fireworks dazzle and light up the night above downtown Houston. This is the official 4th of July celebration for the city and is notoriously one of the best shows around town. This celebration is sure to thoroughly entertain the family with its lineup that boasts great live performances by Darius Rucker, and The Suffers, family games and fun, and a variety of other activities that will keep you busy before you settle down to enjoy the fireworks. Admission will be $8.00 in advance for adults and $10.00 at the gate. Children ages 5 and under are free. We all know that parking in downtown is a dreaded affair, so it’s recommended that you park at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts which has ample room at a reasonable walking distance. This event is definitely going to draw a crowd, so be sure to get there about thirty minutes ahead of time if you want to set up a viewing spot for your family.
