Bring your little ones and join Stephanie Chase for traditional music, puppets, sing-a-longs, smiles and lots of laughs. Stephanie “Mama” Chase is an accomplished musician, singer, songwriter, entertainer, and craftsperson. As Mama Steph, she has a vast and loyal audience throughout the South Shore, with well attended and appreciated performances. She has published three albums of her original music. This show is best for children up to seven years of age. No charge, but donations at the door are appreciated.

Twice each year, Bazaar Russe showcases Slavic food and cultural items alongside Orthodox books and icons to the local community. This event brings together our parish and people from neighboring communities for fellowship and food. You can enjoy Stuffed Cabbage (Halupki), Pierogi (potato and cheese filled dumplings), Peroshki (beef and egg filled buns), Potato Pancakes, Borscht, Fresh and smoked kielbasa, Blini (crepes with blueberry or sweet cheese filling) several frozen items and kielbasa, and home-baked goods would be sale that includes pies, cookies, cakes, ethnic nut rolls, baklava and more. All enjoy buying from an assortment of Slavic-theme items such as Matroshka dolls, lacquer boxes, Russian-style jewelry, and ornaments or opt for hand-made goods such as blankets, scarves or aprons. In addition, a variety of Orthodox items such as icons, crosses, and books will be available.
Traditional Slavic food for eat in and take out will be available at the Bazaar Russe that will be taking place at 15 Prospect St, Maynard, MA, 01754 on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 and Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at various times.
The Children’s Author Festival welcomes local children’s book authors and illustrators to read from and sign their books, available for purchase at the event. Games, prizes, and book-related activities are all part of the fun. Acclaimed author and illustrator JoAnn Adinolfi leads off this year’s event with a special reading at 11:00 am. The authors and illustrators participating in the 2017 Festival include Joyce Austin, JoAnn Adinolfi, Susan Benedict, Denise Brown, Loni Burchett, Nancy Donovan, Lauren Levine Deranian, Janis Hennessey, Carolyn Hughes and many more. Children 12 and under receive a ticket for free skating at the Museum’s Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond. Admission to the event is free.
