First Friday Denton is a wonderful way to get out and enjoy the evening scene in the town. Experience Denton’s art scene in many forms on First Friday. These businesses and galleries will have activities throughout the evening, with hours varying by location. It’s a fun way to stroll through downtown while experiencing and observing local art activities.

The second annual Frisco Book Fest on Saturday, November 4th is a festival for readers and writers alike. At the Frisco Public Library, guests will have a chance to talk to local authors and illustrators, attend author panels, and learn more about the publishing process. Community partners, including Henery Press and the Writer’s Garret, will be on hand to offer valuable information on a number of outlets for authors. In addition to the many presentations and panels celebrating local authors and illustrators, there will also be local author booths in the atrium where guests can meet their favorite local authors, discover new ones, and pick up copies of autographed books and other literary swag. The Frisco Book Fest is open to all ages free of charge and no registration is required.

Join the 2017 Fall Festival on Saturday, November 4th at Unity Park! Enjoy live music, carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, pony rides, artisan displays, and craft and food vendors. The date begins with the Tom Duffy Memorial 5K, the inaugural run benefiting Christian Community Action. You can join in the 5K run and bring your dog to run with you or go your own pace with strollers and kids in the 1K fun run. General admission is free, but the 5K will cost you $40.00 for adults; $30.00 for age 17 and younger; and $100.00 for family of four.
