Irvine Super Swim Lesson will teach kids and adults the basics of swimming. Here adults and children of all swimming abilities are invited to participate in Irvine’s largest group swim lesson in an effort to raise awareness for drowning prevention. Families are requested to arrive at 5:30 pm to sign up for the 6:00 pm lesson. Then, stay afterwards for a recreation swim and screening of the movie Sing on the big screen.

Experience the next level of toys and games at this new exhibition. Through more than 200 historic objects from the Autry’s diverse collections, Play! explores the role of toys and games across cultures and over time. Featuring dolls, board games, video games, outdoor activities, and more, the exhibition looks at the many ways children have played in the American West, the social value toys reveal, and how the West has inspired imagination. Beyond the displays, visitors are invited to get hands-on with games of the past and present. Free and open to all.

The Dance Downtown series is held entirely in Grand Park. Families can swing, strut and shimmy at free biweekly evenings featuring an open dance floor with beginner dance lessons by top LA dance instructors alongside a live band or DJ, From beginners to experienced hoofers, everyone is welcome.
