The Taming of the Shrew

One of the most entertaining stories of Shakespeare ”The Taming of the Shrew” will be performed here. The story is about Baptista, who has two daughters, but the younger, prettier one, Bianca, cannot be married before her shrewd sister, Katherina. On seeing Bianca Lucentio falls in love with her. Meanwhile Petruchio, a young chap from Verona, arrives, he learns about Katherina and decides to marry her. Katherina agrees to marry Petruchio as he is the only man willing to counter her quick remarks. To beat her shrewish nature, Petruchio begins to pretend, when she says or does harsh things he makes it look as though they are actually kind and gentle. From their first meeting, clashes begin with their endless conversations leaving the audiences to wonder, who is taming who? Kids of the age 7 and up can watch the show. The entry is free.
