Join the fun-filled weekend, as they celebrate our 46th anniversary. The Festival of Whales celebrates migrating whales that use Dana Point’s headland as a landmark on their journey southward. Festivities over two weekends include whale watching, a street fair, a parade, an art show, a Mobile Marine Mammal Museum, a cardboard Dingy Dash, the Ocean Institute-Ocean Education Center, and a rubber ducky race.Kids can take boat rides and SUP lessons, participate in sand sculpting (3/6), and watch Finding Dory under the stars. Bands perform on the water on a specially designed stage for the Concert on the Water. You can also enjoy whale pancake breakfast, whale walk painting and more. Admission is free and fees for some activities.
