This bright, colorful, vibrant restaurant is a must visit. La Gloria occupies a beautiful spot alongside the river, has a wonderful selection of ecliptic art, has a great vibe, delicious Mexican food, the best flavors in town and the most creative flying angels, handmade in Mexico, that blow away the evil spirits. Book a table on the patio, order a bottle of wine or sip a margarita, try out all the different street foods of Mexico and also – enjoy the view! The chef, Johnny Hernandez, is a local celebrity. He’ll probably come out the kitchen to see how you’re enjoying your nachos!

Boudros is fabulous! It’s in the middle of the River Walk, has a lovely patio overlooking the water, is casual but offering excellent food, including wood-grilled steaks, yellowfin tuna, and blackened prime rib. They’re famous for their guacamole and if you look online you’ll find the recipe. Book a table outside along the river bank. Excellent service, great atmosphere, decent prices and if you want something special, have dinner on a barge while floating on the river. It’s casual and absolutely fabulous.

La Cantera is a Resort and Spa just outside of San Antonio in Texas Hill Country, making it a perfect weekend getaway or a fabulous venue for lunch or dinner. Texas Hill Country offers breathtaking views of hills and rocky outcrops, rivers and creeks and wildflowers. The resort feels like a winery! Primero Cantina overlooks the golf course and rolling hills and valleys. The menu, and they serve brunch, lunch and dinner, is pretty much Tex-Mex, rustic fare with a contemporary twist and you can get anything from a sirloin burger to spicy butter shrimp. The views are divine! Gorgeous venue with a smart / casual atmosphere.
