Come and celebrate the colors of the season by rendering your observations of Wave Hill’s gardens with colored pencils and pastels in your newly constructed nature journal. Inspired by the expressive use of color in Japanese prints and European Post-Impressionist paintings, you will also explore the emotive powers of color and express the responses to nature through hue. This program is geared toward families with children between the ages of 6-10. Space is limited. The event is $25 per session includes one child and one adult. Additional child or adult is $10. Registration is required.

Town Square is excited to host the 6th annual McGolrick Park Egg Hunt. Just like last year, they’ll have thousands and thousands of eggs and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and enjoy eggstacular crafts. You’ll enjoy fun arts and crafts and face painting while supplies last. You can rock with DJ Natalie and Baby DJ School, Laura Dayan and Rock’N Lolo, and Esther and Thunder and Sunshine! Wear your very best spring bonnet and join us at the park! Egg hunts will be arranged for groups of 10 kids between noon and 3:00 pm. The egg hunt will be happening in 3 slots 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, You can select the hour of your egg hunt, don’t worry if you miss your hour; they will make sure that you’ll join a hunt. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The egg is $15 per child (online), $20 at the door and free for accompanying parents. Extra charges may apply for face painting, professional Spring Portraits, and other activities.

The schools are closed for spring break, children can get their hands dirty as they sift and search through our Exploration Station. You can pick up a self-guided spring scavenger hunt and also explore and attend the other gardening programs for kids. The activities are drop-in and will take place until supplies last. Kids will love being out and find hidden treasures. Free with garden admission, admission is $6 for adults, $2 for children (ages 4 to 12), and free for children (3 and under).
