This festival is perfect to spend the last days of summer. You can enjoy live music with the picturesque Blue Hills as the backdrop. Popular with families across the region, the Corn Festival is an annual event celebrating the fall harvest and natural and cultural heritage of New England. Features of the festival include a variety of corn-themed food and activities, including the Center’s famous corn chowder, corn on the cob, a corn pit, and corn shucking contests. Families with kids of all ages can enjoy Pony rides, Kids Activities, 4-H Animals, Hay Rides, Traditional Craft Demonstrators, farm animals, wildlife presentations, nature walks, and a country bake table and events like Big Ryan’s Tall Tales, a great mix of oldies, bluegrass, folk and country, Historical Interpreters and more. Admission to the festival is $8 per adult and $6 per child for Science Center members and $10 for adult and $8 per child for non-members, admission price includes most activities, games, and crafts.
The 41st Annual Corn Festival will be taking place at The South Shore Natural Science Center 48 Jacobs Lane, Norwell, MA, 02061 on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 and Sunday, September 17th, 2017 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Smolak Farm’s Annual Fall Children’s Festivals offers activities like Bounce House, Super Slide, Face Painting, Spin Art, Cow Train rides, and access to the playground and animal areas. The farm has a Corn Maze and it will be open to kids to have a blast. Hop-On Hayrides through the farm and orchards, and explore the farm. Come on down and make some memories to cherish forever.
