The Italian Cultural and Community Center of Houston presents the 39th annual Italian Festival, a weekend celebration of Italian of food, culture, music, and dancing! The event will include live music and performances by the Fab 5, the Houston International Dancing group, the Tarantellas Italian Folk dance group, and the nation’s top Italian tenor Aaron Caruso. DJ Italia will also be spinning tunes. You can also expect wine and beer tastings, film screenings, kids’ cooking classes, Italian language classes, Carranza puppet shows, interactive sidewalk art created live by artist Carol Wells, pasta eating contests, grape stomps, and a bocce ball tournament. There will be a classic car show on Sunday, October 15th, and a Spaghetti Western Night on Friday, October 13th. There will be a screening of the films “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” and “Once Upon a Time in the West”, plus live music from “Last Chance”. Wear a cowboy hat to the festival on Friday Night and get $2.00 off on-site admission! Admission is until 4:00 pm on Friday. Tickets are $6.00 in advance; $8.00 at the gate. Ages 11 and under are free!
