Boston International Kids Film Festival

The Boston International Kids Film Festival invites parents, students and educators from all over the Greater Boston area to a four-day celebration of imagination and creativity. The festival kicks off with day-long field trips, inviting middle school students from around Boston area to watch a film, and have an opportunity to meet the filmmakers and ask questions. By screening amazing student-made films from around the world while at the same time offering these young filmmakers a look at professionally-made films created just for them, enabling the next generation of filmmakers to realize the power and potential of media. The festival will screen the short films that the students have created in front of their family and friends. The festival also showcases professionally-made films that promise to entertain the entire family. Try your hands on hands-on workshops like stop-motion animation, special effects, and Gopro movie-making. Festival Pass ranges from $10 to $45 and there is a cost for workshop depending on which you pick.

Mike’s Maze

If you have missed some Halloween fun this season, here a good new the Mike’s Maze will be open until November 05, 2017.  Mike’s Maze is a family entertainment destination featuring our 8-acre corn maze. Visitors to Mike’s Maze will encounter activities, games, and amusements to entertain the entire family. Families will enjoy the gorgeous views of the New England foliage and it is a unique experience of a fall-time visit to the farm. While you’re here, you can take part in our many Attractions; a ride on a horse-drawn wagon, ride a pony at our petting zoo, pick out your own Halloween pumpkin, and stay for lunch at the Corn Cafe, serving farm fresh food all day. For younger kids there’s lots to do at Mike’s Maze, they offer daily activities and games at Mike’s Mini Maze, activities include a giant game, Hayride, face painting and more. Older kids can enjoy our brand new pedal carts at Dave’s Derby. General Admission will cost $14 for adults, $11 for Kids, and free for children under 4.

Little Red Hen

Come and help the Drumlin Farm make the bread! They will grind the grain, then mix, knead, and shape the dough. While the bread rises and bakes, you can visit a hen and reenact the story of the Little Red Hen. All ages welcome, but the oldest child must be at least 2 years old and up to two children per adult. The event will cost $13.50 for members and $16.50 for non-members.

Little Red Hen will be taking place on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773.
