The Boston Festival of Indie Games celebrates independent game development in New England and beyond. The game creates an inclusive environment for everybody who enjoys and appreciates games in whatever shape or form. This festival supports and showcases the efforts of independent game developers, as well as youth programs focused on game development. Attendees at this festival can participate and play games in different formats: video games, location-based games, tabletop games and more. The games featured here are innovative and refreshing, demonstrating both the budding and the established talent of game makers from all over the world. Families are welcome to this wonderful fall festival, a celebration of the season at the Gore Farm with live music, games, puppet shows and the amazing pumpkin drop! Magic Hummus, Faddy’s Donuts and Ice Cream, Farmer Scott’s Roast Corn, Snowy Joey and Boy Scouts Troop 250 will be available at the venue to satisfy those sophisticated palates. Enjoy live music from Damn Tall Buildings, Copley Street, Outrageous Fortune, and Beantown Buckaroos. Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals and Mudeye Puppets will also perform; kids will get the opportunity to learn to make a giant puppet out of recycled materials with Mudeye Puppets. Families will love to play games like box hockey, bean-bag toss, giant jenga, giant croquet and more on the lawn. There will be demonstrations with On the Mark Archery and a self-guided tour. Visitors can enjoy a craft brew and listen to a variety of local bands perform on three stages. Tickets will cost $ 10 for general admission (13+) and free for members and children 12 and under.
The 4th annual Gore Place Fall Festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Gore Place, 52 Gore Street, Waltham, MA.
