Activities cover a wide range of topics including simple circuits, wind-powered racers, hand sewing and much more! This event is free with museum admission, which is $16.00 for adults, $13.00 for ages 2- 17, and under 2 is free.

Angry Birds Universe

Twenty hands-on exhibits place museum visitors inside the world of the Angry Birds games. Using giant slingshots, kids and adults of all ages can propel balls adorned with the images of Angry Birds characters to test structures. Visitors can also build and race handheld vehicles, discover bird characteristics such as egg sizes and wingspan lengths, and create their own stop motion animations. This event is free with museum admission, which is $16.00 for adults, $13.00 for ages 2- 17, and under 2 is free.

Make Your Own Wildflower Seed Balls


Saturday, July 8th, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in Flushing, Queens Botanical Garden, 43-50 Main St, Queens.

Use locally produced compost to create native wildflower seed balls. Take home your seed ball to introduce native wildflowers to your neighborhood! QBG Farm and Compost staff will be on site to discuss the importance of native species and the role of compost in encouraging healthy plant growth. Admission is $6.00 for adults, $2.00 for ages 4 through 12, and free for those 3 and under.
