Do your kids want to play like Tarzan? It’s all here right here in the Bronx. This summer venture along the Bronx River with ropes course, and dual ziplines. The first challenge is to Climb Bronx Zoo Treetop, in which you should make attempts to climb some elements set in the forest canopy. The challenging obstacles, including rope bridges, wobbly bridges, tightrope walks, and more. The aerial courses are colored based on the skill level, such as beginners are coded yellow, intermediate as green, and so on. The second adventure is the Zipline Treetop Adventure this amazing ride takes you with dual, side-by-side ziplines that cross the Bronx River and return Ziplines travel 50 feet above the Bronx River. The Bronx Zoo uses state of the art harness equipment and safety systems to enjoy the thrill with no fear. They provide instructions to participate and most importantly the participants must be of the age 7 & up, an average height between 50 and 275 lbs. The general admission is $19.95, for children 3 to 12 $12.95, and free for children 3 and under.

On June 17th and 18th from 11 am to 4:45 pm take part in this event “Breathing Life into Masks” In this workshop the budding artists can create their own style of kinetic mask with holes where the mouthpiece and nose openings are using yarns, feathers or thin strips of paper to push air through in order to produce movement while breathing. Ideal for kids of the age 5 and up. The price is included with museum admission.

“Danza Debuts,” is a program that features emerging choreographers. The two choreographers are Virgil Gadson, a top 4 finalist on “So You Think You Can Dance?” Season 12 and Cassie Nordgren, who curated our “Danza Highbridge” festival last year. The program commences with a performance by students from Dance Project of Washington Heights. At 7 pm, the public is invited to have a sneak peek of the United Palace’s new professional dance studios.The evening features The Last Bite the story is a based on two singles who become instant friends at a wedding reception full of couples. They feel intense pressure when they had to justify being single. Dancers in “The Last Bite” have performed in various shows, including Wicked, Fiddler on the Roof, and so on. DAYDREAMER’S SOUL-Virgil Gadson is an entertaining musical performance based on the journey on his life growing up as a dancer it is choreographed by Virgil Gadson. Kids of all ages are welcome, the tickets are $10 online, $15 at the door and free for kids.
