Antique Motorcycle Show

This show is unique for kids who are crazy fans of stunning motorcycles; the show will include a display of various makes and models of motorcycles that have been out of production for 10 years or more. Various entertaining factors such as music, farmhouse tours, hayrides, and food will provide fun for the entire family. Kids of all ages are welcome. The admission charges are $ 7 per person and free for farm members.

The 37th Annual Antique Motorcycle Show will take place at Queens County Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Parkway Floral Park, New York 11004 on Sunday, September 17th, 2017 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Flicks and Jazz In The Garden

Flick and Jazz in the Garden 2017, is all about an annual family-friendly evening at Sunnyside Gardens Park. Your kids will be amazed by the live jazz, vintage cartoons, a silent film from Charlie Chaplin, and arts/crafts geared especially for kids. Do not forget to bring a blanket or a low chair and get ready for a magical evening of film and jazz under the stars. The show begins at 5 pm displaying Arts and crafts at 5:30 pm promptly the music begins to rock- Live jazz music by Liftoff Brass Band (New Orleans style music) and other bands. At 7:30 pm they will be featuring cartoons and film programs- Vintage cartoons and movies: Betty Boop, Popeye, Looney Tunes and fairy tale-themed cartoons, followed by Charlie Chaplin’s classics. Drinks, popcorn, pizza, and other treats will be available for purchase. Kids of all ages can have fun here. The entry fee is $10 and free for kids.

Apples and Honey Day

Why not celebrate this harvest season with the Apples and Honey Day a perfect place for kids to play with nature. They will feature Apples and Honey inspired Crafts and Tours, kids will be creating apple print cards and make a paper pollinator. Then join a tour to spot the busy pollinators in the garden and the plants that attract them. Learn more about the busy bees in the workshop held there which costs $6. Visit QBG’s Bee Garden, learn about these amazing insects from a QBG beekeeper, sample local honey, and make a beeswax candle to take home. Kids can also enjoy the free Dyed in Queens Demonstration and enjoy free Music in the Garden. Be ready to dance to the traditional Jewish music from Eastern Europe. This event is recommended for kids of all ages. The Cost is free with Admission, admission will cost $6 for adults, $4 for seniors 62+, $4 for students, $2 for children 4-12 and free for children 3 and under, note that there is a fee for some activities.

Fence Show

This show ensemble hundreds of artists, craftspeople, environmental groups, and classical musicians on the grounds outside of the Staten Island Museum at Snug Harbor to showcase their work. Join this day full of colorful arts and crafts, and a delightful concert presented by Musical Chairs Chamber Ensemble. Artist spaces range from $45 – $75. Kids of all ages will love this show. The entry is free with Museum admission, admission will cost $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65+) and students and free for children under 12, active military and Snug Harbor Members.

The 67th Annual Fence Show will be a perfect way to spend the weekend at the Staten Island Museum at Snug Harbor, 1000 Richmond Terrace Building A, Staten Island, New York on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

“We The People”: Citizenship Weekend

Every year, on September 17, Americans celebrate Citizenship Day. On this day Americans proudly come forward to reflect the rights and responsibilities of citizenship and what it means to be a U.S. citizen as well as recognizing people who are taking steps to become U.S. citizens. Here kids can design ornaments to recognize their home, language, culture and more. On Sunday, September 17th, 2017 at 10:00 am kids are invited to create a pop-up book as a reminder of our rights and freedoms as citizens in America. On Friday and Saturday, kids will enjoy an amazing Story time. The BOLD Creative Movement Alpha Key Club, through creative movement and dance, kids will learn to be bold and dance boldly. Due to limited space, all participants need to sign-up for entry. Kids of all ages are welcome. The price is included with paid admission, admission will cost $14 for Children and Adults, $11 for seniors (65+) and free for children under 12 months.
