This October, 23 prehistoric creatures will descend onto the Zoo’s Desert Lives Trail. As you embark on this self-guided expedition into the land of the lost the dinosaurs will spark your curiosity to the limitless beauty of nature that surrounds us all. The gorgeous colors and patterns of animals native to Arizona served as our inspiration for the design of some of the creatures in this breathtaking exhibit. Dinosaurs include: Brachiosaurus, Carnotaurus, Coelophysis, Citipati, Edmontonia, Diabloceratops, Dilophosaurus, Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Utahraptor, and Quetzalcoatlus. This will be an unforgettable self-guided expedition into the land of the lost you won’t want to miss! Admission is $24.95 for adults; children 3 through 13 are $14.95

The annual Wild West Days celebration, held in Cave Creek, Arizona, is a premier destination event celebrating grand Western heritage. Kick off the art season at Thunderbird Artists’ 24th Annual Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival and surround yourself with fine art, wine tasting, festival food and live music, featuring talented violinist, Teresa Joy. In addition to the breathtaking works of featured painter and sculptor Jacinthe Dugal-Lacroix, more than 150 other juried fine artists from throughout the United States and abroad will participate displaying paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, and ink; impressive small, medium and life-sized sculptures, sparkling hand blown glass, baskets, clay, metal, stone, wood, scratchboard, spectacular handcrafted jewelry, exceptional photography and much more! The festival also combines fine art with an extensive collection of domestic and imported wines for tasting. For $10, patrons receive an engraved souvenir glass with six tasting tickets; allowing them to walk the streets of downtown Carefree sipping fine wines, surrounded by phenomenal art and listening to live musical entertainment.
