Sunday, April 9th, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Government Canyon State Natural Area – Texas Parks and Wildlife, 12861 Galm Rd, San Antonio
Join Texas botanist and author Bill Carr, one of the foremost authorities on the native plants of Central Texas, for a stroll around the natural area. You’ll be looking at anything and everything of interest – from trees and shrubs down to grasses and sedges (and probably even some insects, amphibians and reptiles!) Participation is limited to the first twelve people who sign up, and is open to ages 14 and older. All participants must be able to hike over broken, rocky terrain with some changes in elevation. Wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing; bring water (1 liter per person), and a snack if you like. Nature Area fees apply, which is $6.00 for adults, and free for kids under 12.
