The Inspire Community Fine Art Center holds the belief that art should be an accessible tool for all, this is why they are happy to be hosting a family art day. This event is intended to be used as an exploratory experience for children of all ages and their families to try various types of art projects and mediums. The aim of the day will inspire children to engage with their imagination and be proud creators of artistic objects. This is a free event and materials will be supplied by the center, bring your whole family down to spark some creativity while having fun!

Guided Morning Hike


A guided canyon hike will be happening at Government Canyon State Natural Area at 12861 Galm Rd San Antonio, TX, 78254 this Saturday, June 17th, 2017 from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.

The Friends of Government Canyon as well as the Sierra Club are hosting a jointly-led guided hike. The hike will be happening on one of the stunning trails at the Government Canyon State Natural Area. This promises to be a beautiful experience in one of the most scenic areas of Phoenix. The hike will be available to those aged 13 and over. Don’t forget to bring water, sun cream, and sturdy hiking boots. The guided hike is free with payment to the park.

9th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance


The City of San Marcos is hosting their annual Father’s Day dance for fathers and daughters at 501 E Hopkins St, San Marcos, TX, 78666 this coming Friday, June 16th, 2017 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Young ladies, ages one and older along with their father figure are invited to a semi-formal evening of dancing, music, treats, tiaras, and keepsakes. This is a great way for your daughters to spend quality time with their fathers and celebrate the role they play in their lives. Children old enough to walk are encouraged to come and join the fun. The price for this lovely event is $5 and $15 for the fathers.
