All too often, the holidays sometimes turns into a muggy mixture of commercialism and selfish desire if we’re not careful to preserve the true nature of the season. If you and the kids have been searching for your next good deed opportunity, then this is just the event for you! With the help of hundreds of volunteers, the Salvation Army is able to transform a community center into a toy store for the less fortunate. New toys are gathered during the season and saved throughout the year. These toys are then displayed on tables and shelving for pre-registered families to choose gifts they think their children will enjoy. Families also leave with a fully stocked food bag with various non-perishable items. They plan to serve approximately eighteen hundred families during this event and can’t do it without your help! Your toy donation could mean a world of happiness to a less fortunate family, so what are you waiting for? This event is free to attend.
