About: Julmarknad is the Museum’s annual Christmas Bazaar. This is the place to find traditional Scandinavian and modern handicrafts either to decorate your home in authentic Swedish style or to give as gifts. At the Children’s Museum section there will be crafts, games, and Santa will pay a special visit. It’s entertainment for the whole family and includes kaffestuga, Lucia processions, and folk dancers.
When: Saturday, December 1, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Sunday, December 2, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Cost: Suggested donation is $2 for admission.
About: Shop for jewellery, paper crafts, clothing, handbags, and more from around 30 vendors who concentrate on sustainable products. The makers will be on hand to provide demonstrations of their techniques and answer questions about their craft. The pleasant thing is that adults can shop with a mimosa in hand. After visiting the market grab some food at Bite Café – conveniently situated right next door.
