10 Best Christmas Trees around Boston you must see!

 Besides the public Christmas trees on display in parks and squares look out for the hotel lobby displays – the Ritz Carlton, The Fairmont on Copley Square, and many others have opulent trees shimmering with beautiful ornaments and lights. What a wonderful excuse to take a break from shopping and indulge in a beverage and snack at one of these hotels. The tree lighting ceremonies are in full swing already – don’t miss out!

 

Boston Common Tree

About:  The tree is an annual gift from the people of Nova Scotia and is decorated with thousands of twinkling LED lights. The Skating Club of Boston will be putting on a free ice show with national and international competitors plus synchronized skating and Theatre on Ice. Public skating will open an around 6:50 pm after the show and tree-lighting ceremony conducted by Mayor Marty Walsh – admission costs apply for the public skating. A fireworks display follows the official lighting.

When: Tree Lighting ceremony November 29 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Light stay on until early January 2019.

Faneuil Hall’s Massive Spruce and Blink Light Show

About:  Take the kids to see the largest Christmas tree in the northeast and then the Blink Light and Sound Show as 350, 000 lights dance to the sound of the Holiday Pops. There are plenty of places to stop for a snack or hot beverage.

When: 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm –show every half hour.
