10 Best Christmas Trees around Chicago you must see!

About: The 62-foot Norway Spruce has been decorated with around 48, 000 lights and will be visible from the ice-skating rink at McCormick Tribune Plaza that will be open from November 16 through to March 10. At the official ceremony, accompanied by fireworks, thousands of people gathered despite the cold to see the tree light up for the first time this season. It is decorated with shimmering ornaments and multicoloured strands of lights.

When: November 16 to January 6

Where: Millenium Park, Michigan Avenue and Washington Street.

Magnificent Mile – 250 Trees

About: Who says holiday trees have to be fir trees? Along the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue between Oak Street and the Chicago River, the 250 trees are lit up with more than a million lights. Take a stroll along here to enjoy the spectacle of tree dripping with lights, pausing to admire individual trees in shop windows and perhaps stopping for a snack or a hot beverage at one of the coffee houses along the way.
