The best experiences of Christmas Trees often involve all the activities that go with the lighting – so we have rounded up tree events that offer plenty for families to do other than simply admire the tree. Kids have short attention spans so it is essential they are kept occupied for it to be an enjoyable outing for the whole family.
About: At the 99th Annual celebration there will be plenty to do aside from admiring the tree. The annual event has become a holiday tradition for Houston families and their visitors who come to enjoy the visits with Santa, the fireworks finale, and plenty of family fun. The towering Holiday Tree has twinkling energy-efficient LED lights, shiny ornaments, and a dazzling star topper. After the tree lighting ceremony, the tree will remain on view through the festive season.
When: November 30 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm – tree lighting

Free photos with Santa, plenty of food vendors, a state of the art ice skating rink, face-painting, train rides, real snow, and a rock-climbing wall will keep the younger members of the family happy. Santa and Council Member Dwight Boykins will light the towering Holiday Tree, after which the fireworks are set to go off.
