This is Hollywood – so embrace it for what it is – a world of movie-making and stars – a city that has its phenomenal success stories and probably more stories of heartbreak than anywhere else in the world. So go all out for the unique movie-related experiences offered: sit in a seat occupied by a star at the Academy Awards venue, ride the glass slide 1,000 feet over LA, check your handprints against those of the stars, check into the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, haunt of stars during the Golden Era, and pose with even more stars at Madame Tussauds Hollywood, then watch movies being made and take in a little bit of magic too.

Universal Studios Lot

Hollywood is synonymous with movie making, and a visit to Universal Studios and Theme Park is a unique experience that is world famous. On the Studio Tour visitors are shown a real working movie studio and can watch movies being made.

Then there are the thrill rides like the Hogwarts experience where visitors experience Hogwarts Castle through various magical and exciting rides. That is not all – scream through The Walking Dead experience and finish off with Fast and Furious Supercharged. Grauman’s Chinese Theatre – now the TCL Chinese Theatre.

Situated on the Hollywood Walk of Fame the theatre is perhaps more famous for the pavement outside where stars have placed their handprints and footprints through the years. In 1968 it was declared a historic and cultural landmark.

Watch movies here in opulent comfort. A thirty-minute guided walking tour through the theatre will fill visitors heads with stories, highlights, and anecdotes. The theatre is incorporated into the Hollywood and Highland Shopping and Entertainment Complex.

When: Movies are screened four to five times a day – starting from around noon until 10:30 pm. The tours start from around 10:00 am and carry on until around 8:00 pm. See website for specific times for the date you have chosen.
