10 Unique Places to Eat Ice Cream in Los Angeles

Blockheads Shavery Company

For a completely unique experience come to watch the associate shave the ice for your bowl from a rotating spit. Blockheads advertise themselves as the ‘finest snow cream in Los Angeles’ and judging by the reaction of the crowds – yes there are long lines but the serving team is pretty efficient – they are probably right! The best-loved flavor seems be the black sesame shaved snow with mochi and fresh made rice cakes. The black sesame tastes like ice cream but it is softer. The place offers value for money as a bowl with the extra toppings like fruit, nuts, or candy is around $5-7. Kids love their macaroons shaped into unicorns, penguins, and Pokémon characters.
