LA with its palm trees and beaches is where everyone wants to be in summer – and the festivals this July take advantage of the glorious outdoor weather with festivals alongside beaches and lakes or else in air conditioned comfort inside auditoriums. Whether its classical or electronic dance music that appeals, dragon boat races or surfing, there are plenty of festivals plus the loads of Fourth of July fireworks and festivities to ensure everyone is in celebratory mood.
Based in Los Angeles, iPalpiti Artists International is a non-profit organization dedicated to classical music. You won’t want to miss the iPalpiti Orchestra at St Andrews Episcopal Church, 890 Balour Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024, on Thursday, July 5 at 7:30 pm, where Eduard Schmieder will be conducting. This acclaimed ensemble of international laureates, who are the top musicians of orchestras from around the world will perform Bach’s Chaconne for String Orchestra, Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme for cello and orchestra, featuring soloist Eldar Saparayev (from Kazakhstan-Switzerland), and Dvorák’s Serenade for Strings. There are other orchestral performances and soloists over the festival period, so if classical music is your thing then you are in for a treat.
