15 Best Festivals and Shows in Dallas during August 2018

Steers, reptiles, turtles, and cuddly barnyard animals will ensure kids get enough animal action this August. Then there are the shows  – School of Rock, and Marvel Universe Live: Age of Heroes, together with big name concerts like Shakira touching down in Dallas. Add to these summer concerts under the stars and a hot air balloon glow event with loads of live music at various festivals and you’re in for a month of sizzling late summer activities. Make the most of it before autumn sets in.

North Texas Fair and Rodeo

A week of festivities surrounding horses, cowboys, steers, and mad skills at this event are not the only things happening. There will be live music, BBQs, carnival rides, family games, livestock parades, shows and competitions involving animals, beauty, food, and art. Central to the theme is the rodeo with barrel racing, steer roping, bull riding and more.
