It’s NYC and it’s spring so festivals and shows are blooming like the cherry blossom – there are so many to choose from, but we found the ones kids would most enjoy. The largest Holi Festival, the musical Anastasia, Frozen, Bon Jovi in concert (we had to throw in something for the parents too), Japan Day and Hudson River Park Games are just some of the fun festivals and shows.
Gone are the days when vegetarian food was considered pretty bland stuff. Take the kids along to be wowed by the plant-based foods – there will be samples available as well as full meals. The general admission ticket gives access to all kids activities, chef demonstrations, speakers, entertainment and to the marketplace. Don’t miss the Afro Caribbean Spice Workshop, among other very interesting presentations. The Kids Kumquat area will have storytelling, arts and crafts, an information station and lots more veg-oriented fun and games. Various animal welfare groups will be in attendance.
When: Saturday and Sunday, May 19 – 20 from around 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Cost: $20 per person, plus sales tax and fee.
