15 Best Festivals and Shows in San Jose during December 2018

 Families have plenty that will delight this season, from the traditional Nutcracker to one set in San Jose, a Disney Frozen sing-along, Peppa Pig Live and a Winter Wonderland to enchant.  Some great artists like Il Divo, Shawn Mendes, and Ozuna are arriving on tour. Then there are craft fairs and holiday events as well as shows to delight like Shen Yun and Mamma Mia.

 

Mamma Mia

About: The poignant and funny tale follows a young girl’s dream to have her father walk her down the aisle – however, she has three likely candidates, as her free-spirited mother isn’t sure who her father is. Set to the music of Abba this is a high-spirited feel-good show by CMT Marquee Productions that will have you singing and dancing along in your seat.

When: November 30 to December 9. Various times.

Heroes and Villains Fan Fest

About: Costume contests, role-play, comics, sci-fi and TV, movies, and vendors are conspiring to create a world filled with heroes and villains. The fan fest brings you the stars of today’s comic-inspired television shows and movies from Flash to Marvel. You’ll get to meet them and even can get training in leaping tall buildings on the free bungee  jumper. Practice some archery skills, get dressed up, pose with your favourite superhero, play games and more. It’s another world of fun.

When: December 1 from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm and December 2 from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm.
