Holiday lights viewing is a tradition kids enjoy – and the chances are once they are grown they will bring their own kids to many of the same spots to relive the enchantment. Phoenix has plenty in the way of holiday light magic – enjoy safely, making sure kids are aware of vehicles whose drivers may have their attention diverted by the various light displays.
Candy Cane Lane
The palm trees along the Avenue become the basis for dozens of giant candy cane light displays – wonderland for kids. Suspended above the road are also a huge star and peace sign twinkling with lights. Over the weekends leading up to the Christmas, the homeowners get involved by screening holiday-themed movies outdoors and there is even a motorized cart all decked out for the season if you kids are just too tired to walk and you need a lift.
