Sleepaway camps tend to focus on traditional fun in the water activities, as many are situated close to lakes. However, it’s not just the outdoor activities that make for a great camp experience – quieter times are spent exploring music, art, craft, theatre arts, science, environmental issues. This residential summer camp on 104 acres provides the traditional experience for boys and girls aged 6 to 16. This camp located on 170 acres in the Berkshire Mountains will suit independent youngsters aged 8 to 15 who would like to schedule their own activities from the 50 or so on offer. It’s all about balance –they get to enjoy the private six-acre lake with all its water-sports plus instruction in fields as diverse as science, movie making, wilderness survival, theatre and loads more. The staff to camper ratio is 1:2 ensuring the youngsters get individual attention – it counts, as this camp has a 95% return rate! There are 2, 4 and 6 week sessions.
