Spelman College Museum of Fine Art

The Museum of Fine Art of the Spelman College is a great place for those that want to know a variety of artistic expressions at no or little cost. It runs by suggested donations but you can enter for free f you can’t contribute. Its permanent collection is mainly from the African Diaspora. There are all sorts of artifacts. Besides that, there is always a variable exhibition from a different artist.

Hapeville Depot Museum

Hapeville is a City with a history of over 125 years. The Hapeville Depot Museum will tell its visitors the highlights of those years. It includes both permanent and temporary exhibits. It is perfect for those interested in Hapeville, specially those who already live there! There is a lot on railroading and aviation. Even though it is usually only open from Wednesday through Saturday, it will open by appointment anytime.

The Georgia Capitol Museum is all about the rich Georgia Capitol’s history. This is a great collection of the state’s history! There are artifacts, works of art, and the Hall of Valor. The Hall of Valor is an exhibition with battle flags. Admission and tours are free!

This is the perfect museum for those interested in public health. The David J. Sencer CDC Museum offers its visitors information on a public health system based on prevention. There are exhibitions and lots of educational programs for the whole family. Both admission and parking are free

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center

Callanwolde is a Tudor Revival style mansion that dates back to 1920. As you join their self-guided tour, you will learn more about its history, the family that lived there, and its astonishing beauty. It is a beautiful place if you are interested in architecture. The mansion also includes a swimming pool, six tennis courts, a carriage house, a gardener’s cottage, two greenhouses, and two barns for livestock. Callanwolde open its doors on a system based on donations so that everyone can enjoy, no matter how much they have to offer.
