The Summer Waves Water Park is at the Jekyll Island. There are both relaxing attractions, such as the lazy river Turtle Creek, and exciting ones, such as the slide Pirate’s Passage. The Splash Zone is great for the kids. Admission is free for children under 4 and between $11 and $22 for everyone else. There are also season passes available. For 2018 it is open from May to early September.
Besides including the Splash Island Waterpark, Wild Adventures is also a Theme Park! This is probably the most complete and varied waterpark listed, with thrilling slides, rapids, the lazy river, a Polynesian Adventures playground for both children and adults, and much much more. The Theme Park admission gives you access to the Waterpark as well. If you want the complete tropical vacancy, go ahead and stay at one of their VIP Cabanas. It may be useful since this park is quite far away from Atlanta.
The West Gwinnett Park Aquatic Center offers not only an outdoor water park during the summer, but also indoor pools open year-round. In its water park, you will find a lazy river and several slides for your family to enjoy themselves! It includes a splash zone with a zero-depth entry for little kids. If you live nearby, give this one a shot.
Splash in the Boro has so many cool attractions that they had to be featured on this list. Even though this park is about 3 hours SE from Atlanta, it may be part of a trip to Savannah, for example! It has the Flow Rider (where you can even step up as if you are surfing), a lazy river (encircling the other pools), a new wave pool, the Mat Racer (for you to release your competitive spirit), and several other attractions for the younger visitors. The outdoor waterpark is open between late May and early September.
This is another waterpark closer to Savanah and, therefore, the ocean! It may be part of one of your family’s weekend vacations. There are 4 slides, a lazy river, an artificial beach, and a playground designed especially for children. Their season usually runs between April and September.
