Finding Halloween themed restaurants to take kids can be a bit difficult – many are over 21 due to the nature of the shows but we did manage to round up a few where you can have some fun times with youngsters and enjoy a good meal.
About: This is the restaurant where every day is Halloween – as they put it they cater to “all things dark and lovely”. Expect a dark Goth-like interior when you enter the dining area through a sandworm’s mouth. There is plenty of Tim Burton themed stuff to experience and can catch a movie on the big screen. It’s not just supper it’s an experience. Reservations are for dinner only – you can drop in unannounced for a drink like the Coconut Skellington or some other ghoulish concoction. You’re welcome to bring the kids although some of the costumes of the wait staff and entertainers could be a bit scary for young kids – best bring them from around the age of 10. You may be greeted by Edward Scissorhands, chat to Willy Wonka or see Lidia.
When: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:00 pm to 12:30 am, Thursday 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Sunday 5:00 pm to 12:00 midnight. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
Cost: $40 -45 for a Prix fix three-course meal with a number of options to choose from for your three courses. Not gluten free and they do serve nuts, shellfish etc. – you have been warned.
