The 91st Annual Feast of San Gennaro will be taking place at the Mulberry Street, Mulberry Street between Canal and Houston Streets, plus Grand and Hester Streets between Mott and Baxter Streets, New York until September 24, 2017 at various times.
The Feast of San Gennaro is well known all over the world for its festive atmosphere, it’s a 11-day event that comprises religious processions and colorful parades, free musical entertainment every day, a wide variety of cuisine, attractive restaurants and cafes and even a world-famous cannoli-eating competition takes place here. The main event of this celebration takes place every September 19, 2017, the official Saint Day where a celebratory Mass takes place in Shrine Church of the Most Precious Blood, followed immediately by a religious procession in which the Statue of San Gennaro is carried from the church through the streets that comprise Little Italy. It is a festive period and a time to teach your kids about faith. The delicious food, the free musical entertainment that reflects Italian-American culture and heritage will be loved by kids. The Feast can get you to the world of Little Italy and Little Italy to the world. Kids of all ages are welcome here. Admission is free but there are activity fees.
