Engage in urban play in a whole new way with the interactive light and sound playground in Seaport, Impulse! Impulse is an internationally renowned public art installation, made up of fifteen LED see-saws that produce various intensities of light and sound sequences when activated by users. LED light has been known to increase well-being, mood and overall health during cold winter months. This installation is free and open to the public.

Join The KITCHEN during February Vacation Week for free cooking demos and hands-on activities to celebrate local, seasonal food and local farmers and food artisans. These classes taught by market vendors, local food entrepreneurs, and chefs. Attendees will learn how to sneak veggies into delicious desserts, during this class, Siena Farms will demo how to make Carrot Cake Cupcakes using hand-pulled carrots. Learn what it means to raise pastured chickens and why they lay the tastiest eggs. There will be a family-friendly, hands-on info session to learn more about two local, edible abundant shark species in New England. Attendees will learn how to make dogfish tacos and skate sandwiches. Join Project Bread’s Chef Vanessa Labranche, take part in Taza Chocolate Grinding Demo, journey to Mexico with Taza Chocolate and learn all about the cacao bean and Taza Chocolate Truffle Making Workshop.
