Children ages 3 to 5, try out a ballet class with an instructor from the José Mateo Ballet Theatre. Creative Dance develops each child’s coordination, motor skills, listening skills, creative voice, and awareness of self and others. Participation is limited to 20 children per session. Children are welcome to attend all sessions, but repeat attendance is not required.

Astronomy After Hours is a free event offered by the Museum, families can make the most of this event, as they can spend the evening with full of astronomy-themed fun. Families will have to gather at the Gilliland Observatory on the roof of the Museum’s parking garage, and if the sky is clear, little ones will get the opportunity to view stars, planets, the Moon, and other astronomical phenomena. If it’s cloudy, the event will take place inside the observatory, and kids can participate in astronomy-related activities run.
