Blackhawks Hockey Clinics

The Chicago Blackhawks are giving kids the opportunity to participate in FREE learn-to-play ice hockey clinics, coached by the Fan Development staff. Use of skates and equipment will be provided at no cost. Prior ice skating experience is required. All participants will receive a free Blackhawks jersey to keep. Advance registration is required. Please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your scheduled clinic. For more information or to register for this activity, please visit http://chicagoblackhawks.com/cpdclinics. Weather cancellations will take place no later than 4 hours prior to the clinic started. Participants will receive email notification of cancellations. All participants will be required to complete a waiver.

Snow trekking at Northerly Island

Discover Northerly Island by snowshoe this winter during Snow trekking on select Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weather permitting. Get a new perspective of our city’s natural area while exploring the Island for winter birds, native animals, or enjoy the incredible view of Chicago’s skyline. Participants can also enjoy a good old fashioned snowball fight, build a snowman or two and take a break from the cold weather by warming up inside the field  house. The cost is $5 to check out a pair of snowshoes for two hours on a first-come, first served basis with a valid I.D. If you have your own equipment, it is free to trek around Northerly Island! There must be at least three inches of snow to host Snow trekking. All ages can participate.
