Bring the baby, it’s time for Itty-Bitty Art! Bring your baby (up to eleven months old) to the Amon Carter for an art-filled experience. Engage with Dr. James Thomas, an early literacy consultant, who will demonstrate age-appropriate activities inspired by the museum’s collection. Infancy is the time to begin with an awareness of language and books! During this program you will learn songs, how to share books, sign language, and ways to exercise with your little one to encourage language development. In addition to all that, you’ll also score a free CD of all songs and activities shared to have more fun at home! Please be sure to bring a blanket to use during this program. Reservations are required, but this event is free to attend.
Saturday, May 19th, 2018 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, 3501 Camp Bowie Blvd, Fort Worth
You and the family can literally drop in and have a blast here! This Portrait Reflections event is a free program that introduces children (ages twelve and younger) and their adult companions to fun and inspiring ways to enjoy art together. These sessions will have a brief gallery activity and a related studio-art project, and is a great way to get out and have a little bit of fun on a Saturday afternoon. This Saturday will feature Portrait Reflections. Your kids already love staring at themselves in the mirror, so here a craft that will put that skill to good use!
