Homeschool Days will be held at the Page Museum, 5801 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036 on Friday, January 11, 2019 at various times.
On Homeschool Days, homeschoolers get free access the museum all day! They can explore the tar pits outside, view the collections inside the museum, and participate in special Homeschool Day programming. Each Homeschool Day has an assigned theme with free drop-in activities designed to help the students get the most out of the exhibits. On Friday, January 11 the theme is Pleistocene Predators- Did you know that Ice Age Los Angeles was home to some of the most fearsome predators to ever walk the planet? Dire wolves, short faced bears, and saber-toothed cats all called this area home from 11 to 55 thousand years ago. This Homeschool Day will explore the lives of these amazing carnivores: how they hunted, what their social groups were like, and what we can learn from their fossil remains. So homeschoolers it’s a special day only for you, make the most of it. This event is ideal for homeschooled students and the admission is free for Homeschoolers.
