Join a day of panels, book signings, food trucks, bad jokes, rock ‘n’ roll, killer photo ops and general geeky shenanigans. Meet over 100 authors and presenters including New York Times Bestsellers along with local and acclaimed young adult and middle grade writers, plus notable TV, film, video game, and comic creators.  They’ll be kicking off the festival weekend with a night of signings, tomfoolery, swag giveaways and more. The star-studded attending authors are Alexandra Bracken, Richelle Mead, Marissa Meyer, Tamora Pierce, Hilary Reyl, Angie Thomas and many more. Middle Grade Storyball is an interactive book jam where lazy writers con their readers into doing their work for them. Join Jim Lee of DC Comics with a panel of all-star comics writers and graphic novelists. Musicians and writers explore how music can tell a story and poetry can be music. Brick By Brick With Lego Artist Adam Ward, join Youtube’s fave lego artist, Adam Ward, for an interactive workshop. Get dropped into your favorite books at the Novel green screen photo booth. Fierce Friday at the Santa Monica Library is a preview evening with food trucks, karaoke, games, and giveaways. The event offers many more interactive activities and event for families to enjoy. Majority of the events is free, but there is a few ticketed events and is $8 per panel.

YALLWEST will be taking place at Santa Monica High School, 601 Pico Boulevard, Santa Monica, CA 90405 on Friday, May 4, 2018 and Saturday, May 5, 2018 at various times.
