City Parks Puppet Mobile: Cinderella Samba

The classic Cinderella fairytale is well-known, Cinderella Samba has an entertaining twist on the fairy tale they show kids a new version the Brazilian Cinderella. This puppet show will take place at the Buz O’Rourke Playground, Crocheron Park, Queens, New York, 11361 on Friday, June 16th, 2017 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.

Although the cruel stepmother leaves her behind thanks to the help of her fairy godmother, Cinderella attends Rio de Janeiro’s biggest Carnaval gala and dances samba with Prince Paulo. A Just before midnight, Cinderella flees from the gala fearing the spell will wear off any second. The prince sets who has lost his heart to the mystery woman sets out to find her, to make her his queen. The puppet show will thrill you with an original musical soundtrack that is so lively and brings samba to the stage; handcrafted Carnaval festival floats on parade; performance with the most vibrant Carnaval costumes, created by the expert puppeteers from the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre in Central Park. The performance is open and free to the public.

A Summer Reading Kick-Off with Kids DJ Dance Party

The New York Public Library opens its door for the official kick-off their Summer Reading Program. The best way to spend your weekend, the event is a fun filled as they feature a portable DJ system with kid-friendly music so sway and hum. Kids can join and play running games like musical chairs and limbo! Recommended for children of all ages. This event is presented by Pete and Chris Amusements. The event is free and open to all.

Summer on the Hudson: Harlem Dances

This is an annual outdoor arts & culture festival that is conducted by the Parks Department and it takes place in West Harlem Piers Park, 125th St. and Marginal New York on Friday, June 16th, 2017 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The event will take place every month on the third Fridays until August 18th, 2017.
