New York will Finally Get A Giant Indoor Ski Center

Great news for all skiers! Now the inhabitants of New York will be able to skate all year round. In the spring of 2019, next to the city, the first in the Western Hemisphere will be opened a covered slope for skiers and snowboarders.

Mountains – all year round

Hills under the dome will appear in a new shopping center called the American Dream, which is now being built next to the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey (less than an hour’s drive from Manhattan).

Big Snow America will be the first in the Western Hemisphere indoor ski and snowboard park. The park will occupy an area of 180,000 square meters. feet, there will be a ski slope, with a height of sixteen-story house, as well as a wall for ice climbing and a whole winter village.

Wheel with a height of Lady Liberty

In addition to the ski complex under the dome in the shopping center will install another grandiose structure – the American Observation Wheel. The Ferris wheel with 26 cabins will be high with the Statue of Liberty. From the wheel there will be stunning views of the western part of New York, while in the cabins they will install climate control, that is, the attraction will be comfortable at any time of the year. On average, one revolution of the new Ferris wheel will last about 25 minutes.

Water park, ice rink and a hundred restaurants

But this is not all the entertainment that will appear in the giant new shopping center. Also here will be the Dreamworks water park, Nickelodeon Universe amusement park, a huge aquarium, Legoland children’s center, a cinema and an ice rink.

Good news and for gourmets – the shopping center will have more than a hundred restaurants. At the same time, among them there are 20 restaurants with a full range of services, two food halls and dozens of fast food options. Also there will be a separate hall of kosher products.

The new shopping center built a long 16 years. At first, the project was called Xanadu, but later it was renamed American Dream. Now, at last, the construction is nearing completion – the opening is scheduled for the spring of 2019.
