The Big E 2017

There’s no better place to enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of the fall season in New England than at The Big E. The Big E or Eastern States Exposition is a New England autumn tradition and the 9yh largest fair in North America. Each September, participants, vendors, entertainers, and guests come from all over the eastern seaboard as well as throughout the country to enjoy this festive event. It’s quite an extravaganza with entertainment, major exhibits, Super Circus, dazzling thrill shows, animals, rides, shopping, crafts, a daily parade and a Mardi Gras parade and foods from around the world for 17 glorious days during New England’s most colorful season. There will be cooking demonstrations, food samplings, and recipe contests. Good for admission on any one day. Single admission will cost $15 for adults (13+), $10 for youth (6-12) and free for children 5 and under.

5K Foam Fest

The 5k Foam Fest is a non-competitive 5km obstacle course that is suitable for participants 8 years of age and up. 5k Foam Fest has 22 obstacles and all are the best and most exciting Obstacles in the world including the world’s largest inflatable waterslide, slip and slides, and mucky mud pits. These obstacles include a Foamy Start, Lily Pads, DD Mega Slide, Chamber of Foam, Cargo Climb, Body Washer, Spider web forest, Walls, Tire Step, Foam Zone, Mud Crawl, Slip n Slide, Log Roll, Tube Town – Tube Crawl, Mud Pit, Hurdle Power, Rope Climb and a guaranteed Foamy Finish. The 5k Foam Fest offers something for everyone with a full festival that features food trucks, vendors, and attractions. 5k Foam Fest is a popular team spirit event and a great run. They make sure that you’ll be foamy, muddy and wet by the end of the 5k Foam Fest. Registration fee ranges from $48 to $78.

The 5K Foam Fest is all set to excite families at Kimball Farms, 791 E Broadway, Haverhill, MA 01830 on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

PJ Library Special Drop-In: Sing in the New Year!

Sing in the New Year at this pre-holiday drop-in program at Ready, Set, Kids! Enjoy reconnecting after the summer in a fun space with age-appropriate activities and holiday crafts. Enjoy a New Year sing-a-long with a special guest and wind down with a warm and interactive welcome to Shabbat. Recommended for families with children ages 0-3 and will cost $ 5 per family, pay at the door.

Dance Party with Vanessa Trien

Families are welcome to join local super star Vanessa Trien for a lively dance party filled with interactive singing, music, instrument play, bubbles, and more. The Dance Party is from 10:00 to 10:45 am, but you can drop by anytime before or after from 9:30 to 11:30 am to grab some coffee and meet up with other families in the safe and colorful play space. Suitable for kids ages 0-4, kids must be accompanied by an adult. The dance party will cost $25.

House Concert with Josh and the Jamtones

Little ones are welcome to join the House Concert with the national house band, Josh, and the Jamtones. This House Party is a monthly event that offers tons of fun for the whole family. Parents can get together and socialize while children raise the roof with music, singing, and dancing, fun, and games. Kids, it’s time to put on your dancing shoe to move and groove to the music. The house band, Josh and the Jamtones have never ceased to awe the little audience, they make sure each and every kid enjoys the show. Pizza dinner included. The house party is suitable for kids ages 2-7 years and will cost $8 for members and $12 for non-members.
