Fly the Fortress

Where: OSU Airport – 2160 W Case Rd Columbus, OH 43235

Come check out a B-17 Flying Fortress this weekend at the OSU Airport. The B-17 is one of the last flying examples of the famous aircraft used in WWII. The public can view the aircraft and take a walk through tour this weekend only. The tours are $10 for adults, $5 for children or $20 for a family of up to five members. Cockpit tours are available Friday starting at 1:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday starting at 10:00 a.m.

Powell Festival

When: June 23rd & 24th, 2017
Where: Village Green Park – 47 Hall St. Powell, OH 43065

Bring the family out to enjoy a great time in Powell with the annual Powell Festival. The event features family-friendly entertainment, food, and fireworks. The event is Friday and Saturday at Village Green Park. The event starts Friday at 5:00 p.m. and Saturday at 12:00 p.m. The fireworks mark the end of the event at 10:15 p.m. on Saturday. The event is free for anyone to attend.

Touch a Truck

When: Saturday, June 24rd, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
Where: South Columbus Preparatory Academy – 3220 Groveport Road Columbus, OH 43207

What kid doesn’t love a truck? On Saturday, June 24th, the Touch a Truck event will be held at the South Columbus Preparatory Academy. The event will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be dozens of vehicles for kids to check out by climbing, pretending to drive and learn about. From construction vehicles to fire trucks, there should be something for everyone. The event is free to attend and no registration is required.
